When Brandon and I started planning our honeymoon last year, we knew that no matter where we chose to go in Europe that we were going to definitely want to make a stop in Bewdley, England to see his Aunt Margaret, she is older and can’t travel to the United States anymore. So, we booked our first flight to England to surprise her! We flew out of LAX and landed in London. Since we had a couple days to explore England, we planned to stay in London for a couple nights then make our way toward Bewdley, which is a small town right outside of Birmingham, (about 2 hours from London on a high speed train.)  We stayed in the hotel that Brandon had previously stayed in with his grandma and grandpa when he was in high school. We explored all over London, we went to a bar at the end of a dead end street (rumor has it that Prince William frequented there) we had a beer and ate the BEST fish and chips I have ever had in my life! I also tried “mushy peas” for the first time, lets just say I asked for seconds! After a couple days in London we headed out on the train to Birmingham, where Brandon’s Aunt’s caregiver/friend Heather was going to pick us up to take us into Bewdley. Once she picked us up she made stops at the condos that his great grandparents used to live, as well as the church that Brandon’s grandpa had been buried at along with his Great Aunt Rita. I absolutely fell in love with all the old buildings and the history everywhere. Before going to surprise his aunt we checked into our room at “The Horn and Trumpet” which is a pub that has rooms above it.  It was amazing! The town of Bewdley was like a fairytale!  Cobble stone roads, windy with gardens and cottages all over.  Here are a few photos from our England adventures!
