This insanely beautiful San Diego courthouse elopement will live rent-free in my head and heart for the rest of my life. These two are so iconic and I couldn’t be more obsessed.
Everything from their outfits to the perfect lighting at the courthouse was so dreamy. I don’t capture elopements often but this one made me think I need to do it way more. Capturing the love these two have was truly special.
Courthouse Elopement Ceremony
When I walked into this courthouse for their elopement I was shocked at how great the lighting was. It was light and bright with tons of natural sunlight. The ceremony took place in front of a window with some stunning palm trees lining the coast in the background.
After the ceremony, we took some time taking photos in that room on the benches and it felt so editorial. Who knew benched in a courthouse could make for such a perfect location for photos on your wedding day?
Courthouse Elopement Elevator Photos
Of course, if you are eloping at a courthouse you have to take some elevator photos. This elevator was stunning with gold features and a marble wall that surrounded the entrance. It was perfection. There was also a window right next to the elevator which provided the most stunning lighting that I still can’t get over.
California Elopement Photos
The location of this courthouse was so perfect. It was located pretty close to the beach so you could see the water and the area was scattered with palm trees. The photos we took outside of the courthouse were so much fun and screamed vintage California elopement.
