Okay, Okay, Okay. I’m sure some of you are thinking right now, what the heck does she mean by “Ole Mamma”? Like seriously?! Haha, Let me just explain. This is my grandma, and calling her that was actually all HER idea. She requested to be referred to as “Ole Mamma” because her grandkids always had referred to her that way.
So this is my grandpa who raised me and my sisters (aka Paps, Pappy Jones, Pap), he married her I think around 12 or 13 years ago (maybe longer cause I’m horrible with time) and since then he has been the happiest I had ever seen him since my grandma passed away.
Long story short. My grandma and Ole Mamma had known each other for years. At that time, she lived down the street from my grandparents, dad and uncle with her husband and their sons that were the same ages as my dad and uncle. My Nana (great grandma) and my Gammy had taught her how to speak english years ago. My grandma and her husband were diagnosed with cancer and passed away around the same time. My grandpa and Ole Mamma reconnected and the rest is history. Although I wasn’t the most understanding teenager at the time; I couldn’t be more excited, happy and thankful that they found+ have each other today.
Love has a funny way of just…..happening.
I hope you guys love this session as much as I do. This will always be held so close to my heart. So many good memories during this session. I just love my Paps and am so thankful I was raised by such a strong and honorable man. I love you both, so much!
