This lovely family had just welcomed their little girl and knew that they had to capture this stage of her life. They truly soaked up every moment of this photoshoot and I absolutely loved it. I just had the three of them cuddle up on the couch and we chatted and got to know each other while I documented their little family of three. It was casual, cozy, and the perfect setting to capture this new stage of their life.

To make this session even more beautiful, their house looked like something from a magazine. BUT, to be clear, you don’t need a big space or house that is perfectly decorated, you just need a little pocket of your home that is cozy and comfortable.

Why I Love At-Home Newborn Photoshoots

You may be unsure about where you want to take your newborn photos. As someone who has documented a lot of these sessions, I find that your home is the best place. For one, you just gave birth and you’re recovering so being able to stay in your own home makes things a thousand times easier on you.

A space where you can cuddle up on your baby from the comfort of your couch or bed. A place that is personalized and unique to your family. And I absolutely adore it when families take photos in their sweet nurseries.
